That’s right! In Singapore. That’s — wait a second — HERE.
I would like to direct you to DarkMirage’s post on the matter, which also covers a whole bunch of other wonderful events taking place in AFA’08.

I think I got the right image ^^;;
Yes, it’s that May’n. Our lovely voice behind the Galactic Fairy Sheryl Nome. She’ll be performing at least 7 songs (and that my friends, is nearly a full song set in concert context), and will be available for an autograph signing session. Even better news? The performance cost is included in the ticket price — which is I reiterate, $5 for one day and $8 for two days. All you misers who were complaining about having to pay for entry, go and bury your heads in quicksand right now.
Now I’m beating myself up and down because I decided to return home to sleep instead of turn up for the informal info session Dentsu was holding. (Don’t look at me that way, I’ve been surviving on 2 hours of sleep for the past week!)
Other juicy bits of information include:
- Kunio Okawara’s presence as the judge of BAKUC. He’ll be available for autograph signings. Why is he important? Hell, he’s the mechanical designer for Mobile Suit Gundam and the latest series Gundam 00.
- For Figure maniacs, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, Kaiyodo, Alter, Square Enix, Revoltech, and more will be attending the festival. This means, goodbye to your November allowance/salary/savings.
- Also, as eagerly anticipated in my previous post about AFA08, exclusive merchandise abound! A limited edition Armored Core model, courtesy of the awesome Kotobukiya, will be available for purchasse during the convention. DarkMirage reports that “other companies may have exclusive merchandises too, but details are not yet available.”
- The Jump Super Anime Tour, will be stopping over in Singapore after making its way around 10 Japanese cities. If we’re getting the same content, this means exclusive screenings of Dragon Ball, One Piece, Bleach, Letter Bee, Blue Dragon and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s and Gintama.
Are you excited? I sure am! I’ll be forgoing any attempts of studying on those two days just for AFA08. I do love you, organizers! (And I’ll be present for the next session, I promise. AFA08 > Sleep.)
UPDATE @ 3:30am:
New bits of info to add!
- There will be anime showcases, and titles include Code Geass, Shakugan no Shana, Skip Beat, D. Gray Man, Gundam 00 (please bring Miyano Mamoru kthx).
- Furthermore, as hoped in my last AFA08 post, there will be a doujin artists’ alley. I’m looking forward to seeing the local Collateral Damage doujin group have a booth! Of course, Japanese doujin artists are more than welcomed in this fangirl’s mind.
- For cosplayers, there will be dedicated changing areas. So away with peeping toms and tiny toilet cubicles!
